Ashley McBryde holds her audience captive with her bourbon-soaked sense of humor and commands the room with her songs. You walk in a stranger and leave feeling like an old friend.
Arkansas native Ashley McBryde is following her own mantra of “do what you dream.” Performing and writing have been her only jobs since 2007. A storyteller at heart, Ashley’s music cuts deep and yet offers healing like the rough-cut realness of the work of her mentors Lisa Carver, Carl Jackson and Travis Meadows. She writes songs that feel good. She writes songs that hurt. She’s been known to turn a honkytonk into a church.
January 19, 2015, Ashley joined Song Factory as writer and artist. “I am so proud and excited,” she beams. “Everything about this family of creatives is soaked in good juju.”
If you’re trying to spot Ashley in a crowd, look for the long dark curls … they’re likely sticking out the back of a ball cap. She’ll be the first to tell you she only wears boots, which suits her just fine.
Should you compliment her she’ll quickly give the credit to Dinah, her J45 and say, ” I just like to make noise and have fun.”
If you’re looking for an entertainer that can tear your heart out but keep you laughing , you’ve found one. She’s one hell of a good time. Just ask her.
