NASHVILLE, TN – January 13, 2026 – Introducing her next chapter of music, GRAMMY®, CMA and ACM award winning singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde will return Friday, January 23, with her next single, “What If We Don’t” via Warner Records Nashville. Pre-add / pre-save HERE.
An anthemic, larger-than-life plea, “What If We Don’t” takes a step past go. The churning, impassioned ballad dares listeners to live without regret, with McBryde’s tempestuous vocal serving as an anchor.“‘What If We Don’t’ came to me, Terri Jo Box, and Randall Clay sitting around a fire pit on a back porch, reminiscing on all the moments that we could’ve made a different choice and wondering if we should’ve,” McBryde shares. “It’s about the leaps of faith that you do or don’t take, and having to learn to live with those consequences either way .
“What If We Don’t” will impact country radio on February 23, and previews McBryde’s highly-anticipated fifth studio album.
Next up, McBryde will revive her raved-about Redemption Residency for its 2026 leg, launching with a set of “Just Me + My Shadow” (solo acoustic) shows on January 22 + 23 at Chief’s Neon Steeple on Nashville’s Lower Broadway. Buy tickets HERE.
ABOUT ASHLEY MCBRYDE
GRAMMY®, CMA and ACM award winning singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde “has arrived” (CBS Sunday Mornings). From back porches to biker bars across America’s Middle, to playing arenas, sheds, and stadiums around the world, the Arkansas native and Warner Records Nashville recording artist has dedicated her life to the craft of storytelling; “an artist with many things to say and a big enough voice to slice through the noise” (Rolling Stone).
The Grand Ole Opry member’s 2018 major label debut Girl Going Nowhere charmed The New York Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, Paste, The Washington Post and more, earning a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album. Follow-up Never Will is one of the only albums ever nominated for Country Album of the Year by the ACM, CMA, and the Recording Academy in the same awards season. Her collaborative project, Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville, earned McBryde her third consecutive GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album, and opened up a parallel universe in homage to world-building song mastermind Dennis Linde that took the Nashville creative community by storm. Her latest, The Devil I Know, brought more critical acclaim, earning nods as one of the best country albums of the year from Rolling Stone, Billboard, Slate, PASTE, Holler and more.
In 2022, McBryde was honored with the CMA International Artist Achievement Award for the most significant creative growth, development and promotion of the country music industry outside of the U.S. This year, she was awarded an honorary doctorate in music from her alma mater, Arkansas State University, for her significant contributions to the field.
Hailed as “one of Nashville’s most reliable and sophisticated songwriters” (Los Angeles Times) Dr. McBryde released road-worn fan favorite “Rattlesnake Preacher” in June to rapturous reception. She opened her non-alcoholic forward concept, Redemption Bar, at home on the fifth floor of Eric Church’s Chief’s in Nashville this August, paired with her four-show Redemption Residency at Chief’s Neon Steeple this October and December. McBryde is touring nationwide now, wrapping a slate of headlining dates through the end of 2025.
