NASHVILLE, TN – August 28, 2025 – Ashley McBryde’s N/A forward Redemption Bar is now open. Doubly named for McBryde’s 2016 Jalopies & Expensive Guitars album cut as well as the word’s most literal meaning, Redemption creates a home on Broadway for anyone who needs it.

Owning the fifth floor of Eric Church’s Chief’s at 200 Broadway, Redemption is inspired by McBryde’s personal path to sobriety, designed as a space that honors authenticity, connection, and original songwriting. Brought to life by the team at AJ Capital, Redemption is painted crimson, adorned with moody decor and easter egg details of McBryde’s journey. Each of the 18 zero-proof drinks available on its menu are as carefully composed as a setlist – from the “Flickerin’ Flames of Hell” and “Martini McBryde,” to “Gospel Night” and “The Devil I Know.”

This week, McBryde celebrated the bar’s opening with a series of intimate soft openings, welcoming Redemption’s first 200 guests herself. Christening the bar’s corner stage with an acoustic set that ranged from namesake song “Redemption,” and “Luckiest S.O.B.,” to unreleased new music and Randall Clay original “Emptying Ashtrays,” McBryde quietly showcased how she “became one of country’s greatest storytellers – without ever compromising,” (Billboard).

“I had a bunch of friends in last night and some of them have been watching me play music since I was 19 years old in Memphis,” McBryde shared from the intimate corner stage. “I played in bars that I wouldn’t let you walk into now; places where your feet stick to the floor and there aren’t stalls in the bathroom. And then they got to walk into this place,” she smiled.

In its first week, Redemption will see performances from some of Nashville’s finest, including Caylee Hammack, Harper O’Neill, Makayla Lynn, Peytan Porter, Terri Jo Box, Jason Nix, Wes Dorethy, Blue Foley, and Cecilia Castleman.

McBryde announced her sold-out four-show Redemption Residency at Chief’s Neon Steeple earlier this month. Each of the four nights of The Redemption Residency will be one-of-a-kind show experiences, with McBryde curating set lists, themes, and moments that could only happen here. Attendees of The Redemption Residency shouldn’t be surprised if McBryde pops up a level before or after the four unique nights in the Steeple to dish out a double dose of Nashville magic on the Redemption stage.

ABOUT ASHLEY MCBRYDE

GRAMMY®, CMA and ACM award winning singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde “has arrived” (CBS Sunday Mornings). From back porches to biker bars across America’s Middle, to playing arenas, sheds, and stadiums around the world, the Arkansas native and Warner Music Nashville recording artist has dedicated her life to the craft of storytelling; “an artist with many things to say and a big enough voice to slice through the noise” (Rolling Stone).

The Grand Ole Opry member’s 2018 major label debut Girl Going Nowhere charmed The New York Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, Paste, The Washington Post and more, earning a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album. Follow-up Never Will is the only album ever nominated for Country Album of the Year by the ACM, CMA, and the Recording Academy in the same award season. Her collaborative project, Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville, earned McBryde her third consecutive GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album, and opened up a parallel universe in homage to world-building song mastermind Dennis Linde that took the Nashville creative community by storm. Her latest, The Devil I Know, brought more critical acclaim, earning nods as one of the best country albums of the year from Rolling Stone, Billboard, Slate, PASTE, Holler and more.

In 2022, McBryde was honored with the CMA International Artist Achievement Award for the most significant creative growth, development and promotion of the country music industry outside of the U.S. This year, she was awarded an honorary doctorate in music from her alma mater, Arkansas State University, for her significant contributions to the field.

Hailed as “one of Nashville’s most reliable and sophisticated songwriters” (Los Angeles Times) Dr. McBryde released road-worn fan favorite “Rattlesnake Preacher” in June to rapturous reception. She opens her non-alcoholic forward concept, Redemption Bar, at home on the fifth floor of Eric Church’s Chief’s in Nashville this August, paired with her four-show Redemption Residency at Chief’s Neon Steeple this October and December. McBryde is touring nationwide now, wrapping a slate of headlining dates through the end of 2025.
